Those statistics translate into a fuel savings equivalent to what the numbers would be if 15% of all vehicles in the United States were completely electric.
For the longest time, diesel trucks were only offered in the larger models. Now that they are showing up in the lighter duty trucks, vans, and cars, diesel sales will continue to increase. The fact that they not only offer more power but that they also provide significantly greater fuel efficiency means that diesel power offers win-win options across the board.
