June has arrived, and that means the summer sun will be soaring in the sky. If you’ve still been hiding indoors, it’s time to get out and have some fun while the weather is warm, and the kids are out of school. Enjoy those warm weather hobbies while you can, or try something new! Or maybe just get out of town and relax for a little while. Indiana has plenty to offer, and if you need a few ideas, we have some to share.
Spring Mill State Park. Whether you enjoy camping or would rather enjoy the comforts of one of the nearby inns, Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell will keep you busy while you’re here. Offering caves to explore, boat tours, a pioneer village, and much more, the park is a treasure.
Hall of Heroes Museum. With comic book heroes more popular than ever, if anyone in your family is a fan, it’s worth a trip to Elkhart, Indiana. Even if you’re not a big fan of comics, there’s a lot of interesting pop culture history to be learned here.
Music Festivals. There are plenty of options during the Summer, regardless of your taste. Pitchfork Music Festival, Chicago Open Air, and the Mo Pop Festival are just a few of your options.
Indiana Beach Boardwalk Resort. If you haven’t been here already in your life, it’s something that you’ve got to do. There’s fun for the whole family here, from rollercoasters to relaxing on the beach. Lodging and camping options are available.
Tour Lucas Oil Stadium. The home of the Colts may be expensive when Andrew Luck is taking the field, but tours are quite inexpensive. If you’re not stocked up on Colts gear, then you can buy it right from the pro shop. Private tours can also be arranged. The NFL preseason happens in August, so if you’re interested in taking in a game, that’s an option as well.
Wherever your Summer adventures take you, don’t forget to share your stories with us when you’re in the shop. If your AC isn’t going to be up to the job, let us get it working so your Summer fun isn’t spoiled in a sweltering car. We hope you have a fantastic Summer. Stay safe, and go Colts!
